Between Bergen and Bergen aan Zee is a wide dune area.
Bergen aan Zee is right in the middle of the nature of the North Holland dune reserve. The beautiful wide beach with hip pavilions with lounge chairs and lovely kitchen. Bergen aan Zee can easily be reached by bike or car.

The Village
The old village centre arose around the Ruïnekerk, a church from the 15th century. The centre includes many interesting historical buildings that were built in the early 20th century. The picturesque Bergen-Binnen is very inviting with its many shops, restaurants and cosy cafes and restaurants.
In the summer, an art and antique market is held every Thursday and Friday.
In October, the popular ten-day art event 'Kunst-10-daagse' is organised. There are evening concerts with young international musical talents in July and August.
Bergen is situated nearby Alkmaar, a lovely old city with its famous cheese market. The weigh house and the Grote St. Laurenskerk are some of the cultural-historical highlights, next to 400 other monuments. Alkmaar can also be easily reached by bike.
